HARMONIC CONVERGENCE QUILT

(approximately 32 1/2” x 31”)

Instructor: Ann Czompo

The versatile Harmonic Convergence Quilt, introduced by Ricky Tims, can produce a wide variety of results depending on the selection of fabric and placement within the quilt. We will make a small quilt top to learn the technique.

Supplies:

Fabric: Start first with a one yard cut of fabric for the borders and binding which has interesting designs, color, texture, etc.

A fat quarter each of four fabrics which draw from the border fabric, complimenting or contrasting with the border fabric. Each needs its own voice or it will get lost in the design.

Rotary cutter with fresh blade.

Rulers: one rectangle 6” x 24.” one square ruler 14 1/2” or larger”

Cutting mat: if you have one 18” x 24” (there are several large mats in the shop and you will have to take turns using them).

Sewing machine (with cord, foot petal, bobbins, manual, straight stitch presser foot. Walking foot is useful later when the quilt is sandwiched and ready to quilt)

Neutral thread, dark, medium or light depending upon your fabric selection.

To complete: batting 35” x 35,” backing 36” x 36.”

Price: $55.00 (Does not include supplies. However, you will receive a 15% discount for supplies needed and on the day of class for most things store wide.) **Please bring a sack lunch, as a break will be included.
