Intro to Foundation Paper Piecing (FPP)

Have you ever wanted to learn Foundation Paper Piecing??? Come on by and sign up today! Although this is a digital mock up of our small table topper project, it does help you decide on fabric choices. The topper will be unfinished at 18.5” X 34.5".

As always, we do suggest you shop your stash! However, you will receive 15% off supplies needed for class and 15% off in store during the day of class.


Fabric Requirements:

Refer to the image above:

(16) 5” Printed Squares- (8) for the centers and (8) for the cornerstones

(16) 5” Squares for the backgrounds for the Square-in-a-Square blocks- if you are cutting your own from yardage, you will need 1/3 yard.

1/3 yard for the sashing

Supplies:

We will supply the necessary foundation paper for you.

Thread (to include a loaded bobbin)

Rulers- Add-a-Quarter Ruler is extremely helpful! You may also want a square 6.5” ruler or larger for trimming.

Your favorite rotary cutter with a new blade.

Pins

Some enjoy using a glue stick, but it isn’t necessary.

Seam ripper

Scissors for thread snipping

Sewing Machine:

Sewing machine, cord, foot pedal, manual, recently oiled (if necessary), new needle, familiarity with.

Sewing machine feet-

Open toe and whichever foot you use when piecing to obtain a 1/4” seam.
