Another One Bites the Dust!
I have finished the Christmas Tree Skirt! It is pieced, quilted, and bound! See picture below. As it isn’t the Christmas season yet, the tree is missing, of course. LOL I am going to make another one of these for my daughter, but in Christmas colored fabric that she picked out. It will also be quilted on my long arm instead of my domestic. Next, I am focused on the T-Shirt Quilt I am making for my hubby…I haven’t decided on exactly how it will be quilted. But will focus on a quilting plan later this week. Always moving forward….
My next endeavor is to put together a teaching guide for those that are interested in English Paper Piecing (EPP) a Hexi quilt. I always find it amazing how scared quilters are of this process, when it actually is very simple. Maybe the fear comes from the hand sewing? What are your thoughts on this? I am hoping to have it finished in the next couple of weeks! I also hope you will look forward to trying something new, if you haven’t tried it before. It can be utilized as something to keep your hands busy when travelling, evenings in a hotel room, sitting somewhere waiting (like a doctors office), or an evening of relaxation. For me, I find it soothing or comforting. It also does not require much thought, so I claim it as mind numbing (taking away from the stresses in life). We all can use a bit of mind numbing at times. As the weather has changed to a definite fall type, I look forward to snuggling with a blanket on my big chair in the evenings, and sew some more of the hexi blocks. Such a peaceful thought.
I am looking forward to hearing all about your projects! Until next time, may you continued to be inspired, productive, and joyful! And never stop making your dreams in quilting come true!
